Cultivating indoor and outdoor spaces that thrive on differences through education, representation, and advocacy.

There is more to the natural world than the eye can see. Time in nature improves our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Barriers, both physical and invisible, prevent a number of communities from experiencing the powers, lessons, and beauty of nature.

I’m here as a blind outdoorswoman, to share my story. To bring representation and offer education in creating more accessible and inclusive outdoor spaces.

If you’re interested in reading about how I navigate nature and vision loss, check out my Blog! You can find resources about accessible trails and outdoor experiences under Resources.

If you have any feedback about the accessibility of my site, ideas of what I can offer, are interested in partnering with me, or want to chat about vision loss or nature, contact me at: Shannon@TheBlindNaturalist.com.
